PSV vs Sporting
Tip: 3+ (over 2,5 goals) — Odd: 1,65
FT: 3:2 (WON) (WON) (WON)
Match between PSV and Sporting. Both teams are preferring open, attacking football, so in my opinion we can expect one interesting match with 3 or more goals at the end.
PSV started the season very bad. They lost in the Super Cup (final) from Ajax 2:0 and after that they did not succeed to continue their way to the Champions League, where they lost in quarter-finals from Basel which was a little bit surprise because they were favorites. Also in the first round they did not won against Twente in local league, so that was one really tough period for this team. But, lately they are much better and this weekend they won at home against Vitesse (one very good team) with 5:0 at home. Now, they are in much better shape and for sure the team is in much better atmosphere before this game.
For today’s match, they will be without: Gutierrez (midfielder 4/0), Pereiro (midfielder 1/0), Lammers (attacker 0/0), Afellay (midfielder 0/0), Thomas (midfielder 0/0), Van Osch (attacker 0/0) and Unnerstall (goalkeeper 0/0).
Sporting with similar start like PSV. They lost in Super Cup from Benfica 5:0. They secured this group stage with their third place last year, so they did not played any qualifications. In local league on 5 games, they had scored 9 and conceded 7 goals. I must to mention that they were really bad in last two rounds, they lost at home from Rio Ave 2:3 and played only 1:1 on the road with Boavista.
They will be without: Mathieu (defender 5/0), Phellype (attacker 4/2), Ristovski (defender 0/0), Fernando (midfielder 0/0) and Rodriguez (attacker 1/0).
For sure Mathieu is a most important here, he is a standard central defender (ex Valencia, Barcelona…player). Phellype is also solid player, but from the last game they got Bolasie and Jese, so their attack for sure have enough power to be very dangerous here.
I expect 3 or more goals. Good luck !
